Lesson 1. Advanced College Planning: What it Takes to Beat Other Qualified Applicants

Dr. Jackson explains what really matters in admission and scholarship decisions at top 100 colleges and universities through his Advanced College Planning (ACP) system. ACP is the only college planning course that teaches students how to beat other students with the same or similar grades, test scores and academic courses.

Lesson 2. A New Vision of College Planning for the Junior Year

The last sustained opportunity to distinguish yourself from the pack occurs from January to August in the junior year. Dr. Jackson teaches how to use these eight months strategically to increase competitiveness for admission and scholarships. Learn how a well planned winter and spring will position you for important summer opportunities and save you time and stress in your senior year.

Lesson 3. The Small Difference Between Good and Great Essays:  The Secret is in the Structure and Function

Learn the anatomy of the “good” essay and the critical flaw that keep it from being great. Two simple changes improve the good essay and makes it meaningful and most importantly, memorable.

Lesson 4. Great Recommendations Are Lost More Than Earned.  The Psychology of Behind Winning Recommendations.

Dr. Jackson shows students the power they have to influence the recommendations they receive.  Learn how to get your counselors and teachers to write the best possible recommendation with a simple five-step process.

Lesson 5. Completing Applications Early:  Gain Clarity, Direction, and Peace of Mind

Complete 70% percent of admission and scholarship application requirements before the first day of your senior year. Dr. Jackson teaches your how to achieve this over the spring and summer so that you can reduce the likelihood of making a simply mistake that may cost you admission or scholarship dollars.  The path to your perfect application does not have to include stress from looming submission deadlines and management of time for studying, tests, and papers from your senior year classes.

Lesson 6. Roadmap and Action Plan:  Informed and Strategic Decisions About How to Spend Your Time and Money

You will learn how to use the ACP “Action Plan” to organize your activities during the Winter/Spring (January-May) and Summer (June- August) months. Keeping track of multiple deadlines and requirements is made easier with this simple progress-monitoring tool.
