Dr. Rudy Jackson Jr. received his Doctoral Degree in School Psychology from Lehigh University. He has served as a college professor and administrator, director of academic learning, coordinator of pre-college programs, and member of college scholarship committees for the past 18 years at institutions such as Vanderbilt University, Davidson College, and Randolph-Macon College.
Dr. Jackson is the owner of College Prep Professionals, where he coaches students to become more competitive for admission and scholarships and teaches parents how to reduce the cost of college. More than 3,000 students and parents in Gwinnett County Public Schools have attended his college planning workshops and seminars since 2014.
As a practitioner, Dr. Jackson has developed mentoring programs, after school programs, summer programs, and pre-college programs for the last 21 years. Over one thousand teenagers have participated in these programs in Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, and Maryland. Legislative bodies and organizations such as the Virginia General Assembly, National Black Caucus of State Legislators, and Council for Exceptional Children have called upon Dr. Jackson’s knowledge and experience. Public school districts (Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Arlington Public School, Richmond Public Schools, Dallas Independent School District) and youth serving agencies (Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA, Communities in School, Urban League, 100 Black Men of America) have also partnered with Dr. Jackson to motivate, educate, and prepare their students for college.
